Well for those of you who dont know I have a 91 ST184 with a 92 3SGTE swap. I have done a couple of mods to it including CT20b turbo, Tubular manifold, 3" downpipe, 2.5" exhaust, 3SGE intake manifold, Injen straight intake, AVCR, Apexi BOV, and FMIC. Well I got a good deal on a t3/t4 from one of my friends so I decided to go to a T3/T4.
Here's what I started with

Then started getting it ready to pull the head off since I'm going with a cometic hg and ARP studs

Finally got the head off

Decided I wanted to move the wires that went across the top of the tranny

and said turbo

I will update this thread as I get more of the stuff and install it. I plan on running the xs t3 manifold and downpipe with a tial knockoff wastegate
I know the xs stuff is horrible quaility and cracks but I have access to a tig welder so we'll see. I was also thinking about port and polishing the head. Has anyone here done it and is it worth it?

Nice im hoping to start my 3sgte st1845 very soon , i just have a few things i need to get sorted out first , i may be having a surgury which will have me out for almost 8 months .

do you have Tein engine hood struts to hold up the hood?
what car are they for b/c i don't think they make any for a ST18x Celica.

engine bay is real nice & clean.

yes they are tein shocks. They are for the Mazda RX8. I dont think that they would work with any hood other than the CS hood b/c when the hood is closed they sit in the bulge of the vents.

the upper radiator hose is for a 5sfe. I haven't put it on the dyno but it is MUCH stronger than the 20b or the ct26 on top end but it doesnt spool as fast as the 20b or the ct26 either

Hey, the motor looks pretty clean, I like it.

Did you get the valve cover painted or powdercoated? (just curious)

What kind of FMIC do you have on there?

Bryan

Thanks , I powercoated the valve cover at one of my friends shop about 18 months ago. I dont remember what kind of intercooler I have but all the piping is custom by me, I bought some steel mandel bends and cut and welded it to my needs. I got my couplers from atp turbo and I used t-bolt clamps on all couplers.

I am currently just using an apexi safc2, apexi auto timer, and a greddy profec b boost controller. I still have the stock s53 tranny with a spec stage 2+ hybrid clutch.
