Man, I should've kicked the ratcheting locker idea out there sooner. This popped up pretty damn quick after that came out.

A ratcheting locker wouldn't be useful in a performance application for driving on a track or in a rallye as they put 100% torque to the wheel on the INSIDE of a turn while the OUTSIDE wheel is allowed to slip until its able to lock again.

For the alltrac its either clutch or TorSen if you want to be competitive.

That is only how they work when coasting. I've worked with, installed, driven, and crawled with dozens of these things. With power applied you get completely even torque distribution exactly like you do with a full spool.

I moved this out of the group buy forums until there's more info on who is building these and what recourse our members might have to get their money back if something goes wrong or the product is not as advertised. Does the product come with any kind of warranty from the manufacturer?

Some more photos or videos of the product in operation would help too.

Ok, i don't mind.

Manufacturer : Local gearbox repair shop specialized in rally/drift purpose gearbox repair/maintenance/modifications, no fancy big names, no eye-catchy internet web-sites.
Customers : a lot of local rally guys, me included (already running such a Torsen in my Renault rally car)
Warranty : None
Refunds : Hard to sort that out even if i want to...

Now if i think about it it will be more difficult to manage this mood for the US/Canada guys (due to shipping costs, time). Maybe i should drop this add and post the photos and videos on my car's thread after installing mine and doing the tests.

For the guys living in Europe wanting this modifications, PM Me !

Another possibly important question - what's the torque multiplication ratio for the diff?

Very cool that somebody is making this. (sadly, I probably won't be getting one...)

It's fine if it's a small shop. Just post their address, phone number and email address so our members have contact info in the event of a problem and I can move the thread back to group buy.

Looking forward to seeing it in action in your build thread. Post up here when you get it installed.

Finally found time and installed the diff in my short-ratio gearbox.

Now i need to find a good excuse and nerves to do the swap job !

What modifications need to be made to the stock front diff to make this fit? The reason I ask is the less we can ship to Europe and back the better.

Only the diff except the final drive gear if you want to save on weight. You can also extract the long shaft with a SST And save on weght and size

Hi, I'm a new member and I would like to know how to contact te shop that make Front Torson LSD and how to proceed if I want to order the LSD.

Did you already try it? What are the main differences that you feel on the car? When you pull the handbrake it's easier to do 180º, 90º turns or "donuts?

Thanks,

Hugo Fernandes (PT)

I have the gearbox ready to be installed on the car but I did not found the time yet to do it...I will give you guys feedback with movies attached and if it holds the beating i can take your orders. I think i will do 1 or 2 pieces in advance so i can make the sale asap without waiting times

Work principle - Same as the Eaton TrueTrac Diff : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZmsY2YvVsc

Any updates?

Hard to turn this down and they no longer make them in the future when you do want one… I am possibly in for a group buy. Like most of us probably would need a few months to gather the funds. Thanks for the leg work on these! ! !

Any updates? I may sell some of my valuable collectibles to get this pending results.
Say we buy one and break it, can they supply replacement parts?

Once the tests have been performed and everything passes I'll be doing the same. I am curious as well about the company willing to provide services even though the part is a one off. I'd hate to buy it, break something and find out there's no options after the GB. Keep us updated.

Btw guys, i think there is some misunderstanding...they did not gave me warranty or will give someone else. That's basically a motorsport part that will be abused so there are big chances it will break under heavy mistreatment !

Meanwhile i am away abroad (Germany) for a job related project but i plan to get the box up on the car this winter and prepare the car for the new season.
