Short version: what brake pads are you all running that work well on the street and are still available? I like my Hawk HPS rear pads but they don't seem to support our cars any more.
Long version: when I got my RC the brakes were basically useless. When the Boxster S adapter kit came up I put some of those onto big rotors and they worked really well, but they only fit under 17s. At the same time I got Hawk HPS rear pads and dimpled rotors from someone here and braided brake lines from a group buy. I wanted to run 15s for TSD rally events so I took the front BBK off and went back to a rebuilt pair of stock calipers and rotors. Right now I have some Beck Arnley ceramic pads that were okay initially but now they're really not up to any kind of hard braking.
I have the major parts to do the smaller BBK that uses GTS rotors and base Boxster 4 pot calipers that supposedly fits under 15s. But that will be a lot more time and money than just swapping to better pads, so if I can just put some good ones on and be okay I'd rather do that. I just don't want to drop a bunch of money on nice pads and have the brakes still be crap. I've never driven a 185 on a good stock setup before so I have no point of reference there lol.
