hood struts for st185?

Has anyone installed hood struts for the ST185 VIS CF hood, or know what models/generic struts might fit? I want to do away with the lift rod, but more importantly, the apparent warping of the hood since the CF is flexible enough it appears to droop to one side when lifted by only the rod on one side.

:rofl: I too have a CF hood and have noticed the same! This would be neat to accomplish!

Broken hockey sticks and widowed ski poles held up many a hood and hatch in my youth.

My buddies son is in a youth hockey league, I asked him if he'd get me a broken stick (carbon if possible)

I imagine anything for an RX8 might work? Autobahn88 makes some that are a lot cheaper.
