GT-4 RC Brake pads

jdm gt4 rc

I am looking at replacing all my brakes and have a few questions...
-are the brakes for the RC bigger than the brakes on the normal gt4 and alltrac?
-If they are, where can i get a set of decent pads that will fit?

I work in a machine shop so will just be keeping my stock rotors and getting them resurfaced

Is your GT4 a JDM?

I've a JDM 1990 GT4 and the pad in front are different, it's a 2 pistons in front instead of 1 piston as USDM.

very early ST185's had the same brakes as ST165's, which are 2-pots. the ST185 single pot calipers are actually more effective though.

if you have single pot calipers, which im 99.9% sure RC's will have, you'll need a ST185 pad (pick your brand)

I confirm you that I've a 1990 Toyota Celica GT4 JDM with 2 pots... and I'm having hard time to find pad and rotors...

I looked at the ST165 Pad spect and it really doesn't look the same as mine....

You really only have two options for 2 Pot brake pads..

Pagid Fast Road Pads = good pads :) I'll be getting these next.

Raybestos = Not the best, poor packaging, but get the job done. Mine have lasted for ~18k km.
